Integration

NIC E-way Bill API Integration for Transporters.

Typing e-way bills on the portal is where mismatches and missed extensions start. A direct API connection makes the LR the source.

What it gives a transport office

How SCM for Transporter uses it

The NIC e-way bill API (v1.03) runs through the company’s GSP connection, per GSTIN, in sandbox or live. The e-way bill module has eight sub-modules: GSTIN credentials, consolidated e-way bills (trip sheets), the bulk queue, preferences, the API call log, NIC error codes, secondary transporters and reports. Alerts cover expiry, Part-B pending, auto-extension outcomes, expiry on the road and the cancel window.

What to check before going live

GPS, ULIP, NIC, e-invoice and GST run on one scheduler per company that never double-sends; companies that keep an outside ERP connect through signed events and webhooks. Nothing leaves the server until the live switch, the company’s go-live and a daily send limit all allow it. See SCM for Transporter.

Questions

Do I need a GSP for e-way bill API access?

API access is typically through a GST Suvidha Provider or directly for eligible taxpayers. Check the current options on the NIC portal.

Can e-way bills be extended through the API?

Yes. SCM for Transporter extends them while goods still move and alerts on extended, refused or waiting outcomes.

See it on your own data. SCM for Transporter runs the bilty, e-way bill, trips, billing and accounts in one system. Book a 30-minute working session with an engineer.
