Guides
- WhatsApp Attendance Bot: How It Works for StaffA WhatsApp attendance bot records check-in and check-out from employees’ WhatsApp messages on the company’s Business number. A reliable one verifies live location inside the site’s geofence and a live selfie, asks for late reasons, handles leave and tasks in the same chat and feeds payroll from tracked hours.
- How to Take Attendance in a WhatsApp GroupTeams take attendance in WhatsApp groups with typed messages, daily polls or location shares. It works for small teams, but there is no proof of presence, someone must compile it daily and leave and tasks get lost. A WhatsApp attendance bot keeps the habit and adds geofence and selfie verification and an automatic register.
- Geofence Attendance: How It Works and How to Set It UpGeofence attendance accepts a check-in only when an employee’s live GPS location is inside a radius set around the work site, typically 20–30 m for small offices and 50–100 m for plants and warehouses. Require live location, not a shared pin, and pair it with a live selfie to stop proxy attendance.
- Field Staff Attendance Tracking Without a New AppField staff attendance works best on the app they already use: WhatsApp check-ins with live location inside the assigned site’s geofence and a live selfie, automatic late reasons, and a live dashboard for supervisors instead of phone calls.
- Leave Management on WhatsApp: Apply and ApproveLeave management on WhatsApp lets employees apply in a WhatsApp form; the request goes to their employer, head of department or team lead, who approves or rejects it with one tap. The decision is on record and approved leave flows into attendance and payroll under the company’s configured policy.
- Payroll from Attendance: Turning Check-ins into PayPayroll from attendance uses verified check-ins and check-outs, late marks, half days, approved leave and overtime under your policy to calculate pay per employee, then sends payslips. Using verified check-ins instead of a typed register turns a multi-day month-end into a review of exceptions.
- Task Management on WhatsApp for Site TeamsTask management on WhatsApp turns a typed instruction into a tracked task with an owner, due date and reminders; the owner closes it with a photo or file as proof, which the manager approves before it closes. Department-level broadcasts keep announcements relevant.
Free calculators
- Salary per Day and Attendance Pay CalculatorSalary per day = monthly salary ÷ days in the pay month (or your working-day basis). Pay = salary per day × payable days, where payable days are days present plus paid leave and holidays, with half days counted as half. This free calculator shows salary per day, payable days, pay and the amount deducted.
Playbooks
- Stopping Buddy Punching and Proxy AttendanceBuddy punching, or proxy attendance, is one employee recording attendance for another. Stop it by requiring a live selfie and live location inside the site’s geofence at every check-in, using one-to-one check-ins instead of group messages, and reviewing refused check-ins weekly.
- Late Coming: Recording Reasons Without ArgumentsLate coming is handled fairly when every check-in is compared with the shift automatically, the reason is asked for at that moment, the team lead is told, and the late-mark policy is applied in payroll the same way for everyone.
Comparisons
- Attendance App vs Biometric Machine for Multi-site TeamsA biometric machine proves presence at one device; WhatsApp attendance with geofence and live selfie proves presence wherever staff are assigned, with no hardware per site. Biometrics suit a single large site; phone-based attendance scales better for multi-site and field teams and keeps leave, tasks and payroll in one chat.
