How it is calculated

CO₂e = weight × distance × the emission factor for the vehicle class. The factors are example values used in SCM for Manufacturers; for reporting, use GLEC default or fuel-based factors and state which. Read freight CO₂e with ISO 14083.

Questions

How do I calculate truck CO₂e?

Multiply the weight in tonnes by the distance in km and by an emission factor in kg CO₂e per tonne-km for the vehicle class and fuel.

Are these factors official?

They are example factors. For reporting, use the GLEC Framework defaults or fuel-based factors from your own data, and disclose them.

See it on your own data. SCM for Manufacturers puts the plant gate, carriers, RDC stock, cold chain and OTIF on one control tower. Book a 30-minute working session with an engineer.
