Traffic Challans: Linking Them to Drivers.

Challans arrive against the vehicle weeks later. Without the driver’s name they become a company expense.

The problem

Nobody knows who was driving when the challan was issued.

The rule that catches it

Challans are pulled daily through ULIP. Flow F-13 assigns the driver on the vehicle at that time, and F-18 applies the company’s challan recovery rule.

The playbook

  1. Pull new challans daily.
  2. Match the challan time to the driver assigned to the vehicle.
  3. Notify the driver.
  4. Apply the recovery rule in the driver’s settlement.
  5. Review repeat offenders monthly.

How to measure it

Challans per vehicle per month and the share recovered or contested.

In SCM for Transporter, alerts go to the right role group on WhatsApp, deduplicated per window and grouped into digests, and every automation starts switched off for each company. Related: ULIP e-challan.

Questions

Can I find which driver got a challan?

Yes, if driver assignments are recorded by date and time, the challan time identifies the driver.

Is recovering challans from drivers allowed?

It depends on your agreement with drivers and applicable law; the system only applies the rule you set.

See it on your own data. SCM for Transporter runs the bilty, e-way bill, trips, billing and accounts in one system. Book a 30-minute working session with an engineer.
